Jahmaal Fyffe, best known by the stage name Chipmunk is a rapper from Crouch End, London. He recently won the award for Best UK Newcomer at the MOBO Awards 2008.

Chipmunk is perhaps best known for his 2008 collaboration with Ironik on the track ‘’Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer)’ released in May this year. The song samples British singer Elton John’s 1972 single ‘Tiny Dancer’ heavily.

Chipmunk released his debut album I Am Chipmunk in November 2009, which includes his first single ‘Beast’ and his well-known songs ‘Chip Daddy Chip’ and ‘Diamond Rings’. The album boasts plenty of charm and variety and scored well with critics and fans alike.
